Finally realized this was published. From back in February, at Anarchapulco! My speech on remembering never to hate a group of people more than you love liberty. Continue reading Anarchapulco 2019 Speech
(Featured photo is from The Atlas Society Gala Dinner in NYC this October) Had a blast on Kibbe on Liberty back in July during Freedom Fest with Naomi, Terry, and Matt. I was also very hungover. Continue reading Better Red Than Dead | Kibbe On Liberty Interview
Back in May, I participated in a discussion with Dave Smith (representing the pro-life argument), Walter Block (representing the evictionism argument) and me (representing the pro-choice argument) on abortion on Lions of Liberty. I forgot about this, but meant to … Continue reading A Lovely Libertarian Conversation on Abortion
Since last year’s Freedom Fest photos took a year to get out, I figured I’d turn this set around in a month!
I had the pleasure of attending both Freedom Fest and AnarchoVegas in July. Unfortunately, I started getting sick at the beginning of the week – Freedom Fest started on Wednesday and I had panels on Friday and Saturday, but I spend a lot of time in my hotel room trying to medicate and rest and take care of myself, so I didn’t get as many pictures as I wanted to.
I had the pleasure of speaking on several panels at Freedom Fest, and attending several others, including a great main stage speech and interview featuring Penn Jillette and Glenn Beck.
I’ve been attending Freedom Fest since 2012, and it’s one of my favorite liberty events of the year mostly because it feels like going home. Vegas is a really fun environment for a conference, and there are a lot of people I only get to see at that particular conference.
This is not going to be a new tradition, I swear, but I did this last year too — I didn’t take a lot of photos at Freedom Fest in 2018 and so I didn’t get around to making an album until literally the day before Freedom Fest 2019. (By the way, yay! Freedom Fest! Happening tomorrow!)
Both Judd and I spoke at Freedom Fest 2018, but we didn’t get as many pictures as we usually do, so we did another combination album like last year.
I had an absolute blast this year at the 7th Australian Libertarian Society Friedman Conference, co-hosted by the World Taxpayers Associations and the Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance. I participated in two panels – one on the Drug War and another on Agorism. I also moderated a panel on the utilization of Social Media. Video of these panels will eventually be posted.
Besides the speeches, however, my focus was on capturing the attendees and moments of the conference. In 2017, I attended ALSFC with Judd Weiss, and we both spoke and photographed the event (the 2017 album can be found here). This year, Judd was busy with our company (Lit.Club), and so I came out solo.
Not only was the conference a blast (with daytime speeches, cocktail receptions in the evenings, a banquet, a yacht cruise in Sydney Harbor…) but there was also a bonus day the Monday after the conference where we got to do a Wildlife Walkabout and meet Koalas and Kangaroos as well as visit several wineries for wine tasting!
I just returned from an eight day trip to Australia where I photographed the Friedman Conference, Australia’s big liberty event! I also gave two speeches on two panels and moderated one! I took 6600 photographs, and will be working for … Continue reading Australian Libertarian Society – Post Event
